Our Vessel: The Magdalena Temple Boat
Magdalena Temple Boat was created from the very beginning as something more than a beautiful vessel.
We built her from scratch, guided by a vision of Mary Magdalene and by the qualities we felt she wished the boat to carry: Light, Purity, Beauty, Softness and Grace.
Her Presence is reflected throughout Magdalena in a gentle palette of white, soft pink, warm beige and gold. The interiors are elegantly furnished, with fabrics, textures, furniture and every small detail carefully chosen to complement one another and create a sense of harmony throughout the boat.
Yet Magdalena was intentionally never overdecorated. We wanted to preserve a feeling of spaciousness, simplicity and understated elegance — allowing the light, the beauty of the materials and the ever-changing landscape of the Nile to become part of the interior itself.
Everything has its place, but nothing overwhelms the space.
Again and again, when guests first step aboard, we hear the same words:
“This feels like Heaven on Earth.”
And perhaps the experience begins even before they have had time to look around.
Our guests are welcomed with cool white towels for their hands and face and a freshly prepared welcome drink. From there, they are invited upstairs to the spacious sun deck — and this is often the moment when something changes.
The Nile opens around them. The light, the breeze and the quietness of the boat begin to work their magic. Many guests tell us that they immediately sense they have not simply stepped onto another Nile boat. They feel as though they have entered Sacred Ground.
At approximately 55 metres long, Magdalena offers generous space while maintaining the intimacy of a small temple boat. She has ten beautifully appointed cabins and two spacious suites, all created in the same light-filled, peaceful style.
Her expansive sun deck is the heart of the boat, with comfortable areas for gathering, a bar, spaces for dining, and peaceful corners for resting either in the Egyptian sunshine or beneath the shade.
Throughout the boat, there is space to breathe.
Space to gather and space to be alone.
Space to watch the Nile drift silently past.
Space to rest, dream, listen and simply be.
Magdalena was created to be beautiful, but beauty was never our only intention.
We wanted to create a vessel whose very atmosphere could become part of the journey — a floating sanctuary carried by the waters of the Nile.
